Scripture-My special verse today: Luke 5:17-20
17One day as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law, who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem, were sitting there. And the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick. 18Some men came carrying a paralytic on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 19When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
Observation:
The mans friends believed so much in the healing power of Jesus they did the unthinkable. They cut a hole through someones house. Jesus affirmed their commitment and healed the paralyzed man. It was a miracle to not only have this degree of friends but to actually be healed.
Application:
How close are my friends? What would they do for me? How strong is their faith? Do I believe in the healing power of the Lord to this degree? Good questions but need to be asked if I desire to live the life of faith based in the radical followers of Jesus.
Prayer: Help me to long for Jesus to heal and deliver me to tell the world how great He is!
