Malachi 2:15 Has not the LORD made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring. [e] So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth.
16 “I hate divorce,” says the LORD God of Israel, “and I hate a man’s covering himself [f] with violence as well as with his garment,” says the LORD Almighty.
So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith.
Observation:
Married is very important to God. God desires for a marriages to produce Godly offspring. This does not come by accident but by teaching the laws and decrees of God. The scripture tells us to guard our spirit. We know Satan has the spirit of deception.
Application:
Why is so difficult to stay marriage? The divorce rate in America hovers over 50%. When you read the Old Testament it is easy to know why. We have turned our back on God; therefore, our offspring are not Godly children. This generation of children is lost. It is essential that the church provide ministries to reach this lost generation.
Prayer: Help me to produce Godly children as result of having a Godly marriage.
