Scripture for today: Ezekiel 29; Ezekiel 30; Ezekiel 31; Ezekiel 32; Revelation 11
Scripture-My special verse today:
Ezekiel 31:10 “Because it became proud and arrogant, and because it set itself so high above others, reaching to the clouds, I handed it over to a mightly nation………
Observation:
This verse echoes Proverds in that “Pride goeth before the Fall.” How often have we seen the great ministries tumble because of their arroagance? I remember fondly the powerful PTL ministry in Charlotte adsolutely destroyed and into bankrupty. Many lost all their investments. Talent is a terrible thing to waste but arrogance because of your God given abiliites is easily lost.
Application:
Denver UMC is being blessed is so many ways. Sunday (7th) we had our third largest worship attendance of the year at 721. When we compare ourselves to the churches in the community or for that matter Methodist we easily could boast. But, in doing so we invite God’s judgement because He is the one who has caused our growth. Humanism is the belief that we have done it ourselves. However, that does not mean that we are lazy and do not plan because those who fail to plan, plan to fail.

Let me count my blessing that come only from your Grace!
